Includes agreement establishing terms and conditions of the sale, March 5, 1935; agreement and inventory (indenture) regarding assets to be transferred, April 16, 1935; assignment of trademark for woolen fabrics, April 16, 1935; and deed, April 25, 1935, all between Hamilton and Ames. Also includes agreement between Nornay and Ames for purchase of assets, April 8, 1935; and agreement between Richmond and Ames for purchase of assets, April 8, 1935. Also includes cash books of receipts and disbursements from Ames, 1929-1932, 1933-1934, and 1935-1937.

Woolen manufacturer, Southbridge, Mass. Incorporated 1831, succeeding the Wolcott Woolen Company. Specialized in fine broadcloths in the early years and later in "muslin delaines". Acquired the interests of the Central Manufacturing Company and the Central Mills Company, cotton manufacturers, in 1923. The firm was liquidated in 1934-1935 after a succession of labor troubles.
